best UK pubs and big screens showing the Euro 2020 semi-final

1 min read

With Euro 2020 well underway, it’s been great to watch the games in actual pubs and bars. What joy to be back watching football with pints and friends.

The best matches are yet to come, including England’s semi-final against Denmark and the final, both taking place at Wembley, so it practically feels like a home tournament.

With England through to the semi-finals, and set to play Denmark tonight, there’s no better place to watch the game than in one of these big screen venues.

Here are our picks of the best pubs and venues to watch the action and enjoy a good meal or drink while we’re at it…

Gibney’s London, Old Street, London

Gibney’s is one of London’s best Irish pubs, and it’s situated in the basement of Daffodil Mulligan, celebrated chef Richard Corrigan’s latest restaurant, which has received rave reviews.

This Old Street haunt will be showing all the games, has snug booths available for private hire, and mini Heineken kegs guests can pour themselves. Home to one of London’s best Guinnesses and its own Gibney’s Stout, alongside mouthwatering bar snacks (or you could eat upstairs beforehand), Gibney’s is available for walk-ins, although England games will be tickets.
