Cooking with the Stars series 2 aired its grand finale tonight (July 12), with the final three celebrities competing to be crowned the winner of Britain’s newest reality competition food show.
8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown‘s Joe Wilkinson, alongside This Morning‘s Dr Ranj Singh and Josie Gibson all took to the kitchen to give it their all, but in the end Dr Ranj was named the victor.

Emma Willis and Tom Allen introduced the final three famous wannabe chefs and immediately set them to task, making the signature dishes of their professional chef mentors, with the winner going through to the final two.
They had the opportunity to call in professional help for two minutes if needed, but all three of them persevered without help. Josie was put through to the final at three votes from the judges against Dr Ranj’s two, leaving him to face off in one last cook-off.
The duo had to make beef wellington, including puff pastry from scratch and beef that had to remain medium rare. All eight judges deliberated, and decided that Dr Ranj made the dish better.

“I’ve had a lovely time, thanks for having me,” Joe said upon his elimination.
Finally, Josie and Dr Ranj had to create their very own signature dish — a roast dinner for Josie (dedicated to her Nan) and a plate of Indian party food for Dr Ranj. After serving up their dishes, and a few VTs about their journeys, Dr Ranj was crowned the winner.
“I’m lost for words,” Ranj said upon picking up his trophy. Meanwhile, Josie said she had made a “friend for life” in her mentor, Tony Singh MBE.
