The Main Street Food Truck Festival is back for its 11th season and rolling into downtown on Sunday, September 11 from 11 a.m-6 p.m. Trucks will be located between the 300 and 800 blocks of Main Street.

The Main Street Food Truck Festival was an idea created by the Main Street Environmental Task Force “as a way to bring people back to Main Street and support the Downtown Little Rock Partnership in the process,” the website says. This year’s festival is hosted by The Downtown Little Rock Partnership and presenting sponsor Centennial Bank.

Here’s a list of this year’s participating trucks and vendors:

Elotes Peter is back this year, which means you might be able to score a refreshing Cantaritos served in a clay pot.

These were all the rage last year, four people stopped me to ask where they could get one. A traditional drink served in Mexico (sometimes with tequila), Elotes Peter’s version was served virgin with Squirt grapefruit soda, Tajín, chamoy, a tamarind-coated straw and lots of ice. It was refreshing, delicious and a little spicy. You’ll need one if it hasn’t cooled off by September.

More from the press release:

Main Street Food Truck Festival is excited to offer fans a chance to get involved. The 2022 People’s Choice Contest, made possible by AY Magazine, kicks off today. Food truck fans will have a chance to vote for their favorite participating truck once a day, every day – now through the 31st. The winner will be announced August 1st.

This year’s event is chaired by Jarrod Johnson. He has planned/executed events large and small throughout the state. He is a champion of communities, families, and the continued improvement and development of downtown Little Rock. Jarrod is elated to be chairing the Main Street Food Truck Festival 2022. Did we mention he loves tacos? You know where to find him at the festival!
