What comes to mind when you think of Florida? Sea, sun and sand of course. The Sunshine State is known for some of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S.
TripAdvisor, a travel guidance platform that helps users find the best travel reviews and deals, announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice awards for Best Beaches. Nine Florida beaches made the Top 25 list of the Best of the Best and honestly, we’re not surprised.
We’ve listed the nine Florida beaches and their TripAdvisor ranks below so grab your sunscreen and shades before heading to these sunny locations.
Siesta Key Beach
This sunny destination in Sarasota county ranked No. 2 in the U.S. (and No. 14 in the world).
“Travelers have been raving about the white powder sand in TripAdvisor reviews, calling it a ‘great beach for people watching, sunsets, breakfast/morning walk on the beach and finding sand dollars,’ ” a TripAdvisor spokesperson told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Under the boardwalk, down by the sea you will find this Panhandle locale ranked No. 11 in the U.S. A reviewer from TripAdvisor described this stunning beach destination as having “glorious white sands, clear warm water, wonderful views.”
Henderson Beach State Park
You will find Destin in the northwestern part of Florida and there you will find this state park, ranked No. 12 on the TripAdvisor list, with thirty-foot white sand dunes meeting warm gulf waters. A TripAdvisor reviewer details it as having a “beautiful nature trail loop with informative placards and a nice playground too.” It sounds like an ideal destination for families.
St. Augustine Beach
Pack your poles before you head to this paradise. Coming in at No. 14 on the TripAdvisor list of best U.S. beaches and located in Florida’s First Coast region, this beach is said to be an ideal vacation spot and a surfer’s paradise. It has a fishing pier so feel free to drop a line and relax.
Fort Lauderdale Beach
Head to South Florida to visit this popular spot, ranked No. 18. Many TripAdvisor reviewers describe this destination as having a “clean beach with clear waters.”
Treasure Island Beach
You may not find any buried treasure here but anything is possible. Placing No. 19 on TripAdvisors Travelers’ Choice Awards for best beaches we have this slice of paradise with almost four miles of beaches for you to enjoy.
Panama City Beach
This sandy haven, known for its beautiful white sand and turquoise waters, came in at No. 18 on the best of best beaches list. Grab a margarita or two at a beachside restaurant and let your worries go.

Ranking No. 22, this coastal scene in Pinellas County is home to an amazing beach. A TripAdvisor reviewer describes it as “A great walking beach with white quartz sand, clear calm water, and seashells by the truckload. The most perfect place to watch the sun set over the ocean.”
Last but not least we have No. 24 on the list. Perfect for families, this popular destination sports sugar sand and crystal clear Gulf waters. You may be lucky to catch a glimpse of wild dolphins while visiting this Pinellas County location.
