1. Tyler’s Texas Chili — from Food Network’s ‘Food 911’

Tyler Florence’s Texas Chili adds spicy southern flavors to this winter favorite. It starts with a lightly roasted chili seasoning made from scratch, including ancho chilis, oregano, paprika, coriander, cumin, and chili powder.

Then in a pot of caramelized onions, you add your ground beef, prepared seasoning, garlic, chipotle, jalapeno, tomatoes, cinnamon stick, salt, pepper, and sugar. In a unique twist, Tyler thickens the chili with Masa Harina and Mexican chocolate. He then tops it off with queso fresco, cilantro, and lime.

2. Ree Drummond’s Simple, Perfect Chili — ‘The Pioneer Woman’

Ree Drummond is known for creating hearty and delicious meals on her Food Network show, Pioneer Woman. And her Simple, Perfect Chili recipe is no different. The recipe starts with browning ground beef in a pot of sizzling garlic. Then go in the veggies and seasonings, including tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and cayenne pepper.

After simmering for about an hour, a Masa Harina mixture is added to thicken the chili. Beans go in last, and after a 10-minute simmer, Ree serves the dish with shredded cheddar, chopped onions, tortilla chips, and lime wedges.

On Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten shares her culinary expertise and creates some of the most elegant dishes. Her 5-star Chicken Chili uses chicken instead of ground beef and is not very heavy on the ingredients. Ina starts by sauteing onions and garlic and then adds in her spices and veggies — including bell peppers, chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, and salt.

After roasting chicken breasts in the oven, she cuts them into chunks and adds them to the chili pot. After a 20-minute simmer, Ina garnishes the dish off with chopped onions, corn chips, grated cheddar, and sour cream.

4. Rachael’s Ranch-Style Turkey Chili — ’30 Minute Meals’

With 30-Minute Meals, Rachael Ray proved that you can make delicious meals in under an hour. Her Ranch-Style Turkey Chili recipe is quick and easy, and it utilizes a few pre-prepared ingredients.

To start, Rachel chars poblano peppers over a gas flame (you could do it in the oven as well) and slices them. She then toasts crumbled premade corn muffins in the oven and sets them aside. To get the chili going, Rachel browns ground turkey in extra virgin olive oil and then adds in garlic and onions.

Then along with some chicken stock, she puts her herbs, beans, veggies, and spices —  including cumin and the charred poblanos — in the pot. Rachel tops the chili with hot sauce, the toasted corn muffin crumbles, cheddar, onion, and sour cream.

5. Guy Fieri’s Dragon’s Breath Chili — from Food Network’s ‘Guy’s Big Bite’

Guy Fieri knows how to heat up the kitchen. And his Dragon’s Breath Chili recipe is perfect for those who like that extra kick. He starts with three types of chili peppers — Poblano, Jalapeno, and Anaheim — which he caramelizes in bacon grease along with red bell peppers, garlic, and onions.

Guy then adds in the meats, which include ground chuck, ground beef, and Italian sausage. When the meat is browned, he stirs in chili powder, cayenne pepper, coriander, cumin, granulated garlic, granulated onion, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Tomato sauce, tomato paste, beans, chicken stock, and beer go in next. And after simmering on low heat for two hours, Guy serves the chili over French fries and tops it with green onions, crackers, and cheddar cheese.
