Indianapolis-area restaurants open for dine-in
Not everyone is up for, or able to, partake of a Thanksgiving Day at home.
Some want to forgo the prep. Others might be going it alone this year.
But for those who still want to go out for a meal on the day, some restaurants are open for dine-in service. And one of the best parts for you: no cleanup.

Big Lug Canteen

For an early meal to get you ready for the day, Big Lug is serving a $13 steak and eggs special only with $5 mimosas, Bloody Marys and draft beer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants

The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner reservations, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a menu focusing on traditional Thanksgiving dishes including butternut squash soup; slow-roasted turkey; traditional stuffing; roasted green beans and carrots; potatoes; cranberry sauce; pumpkin praline cheesecake. Adults, $28.99; kids 12 and under, $12.99.

A $20 Thanksgiving dinner includes salad, roasted turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Reservations, by phone, are required.
Cracker Barrel
A turkey and dressing meal is being served Thanksgiving Day starting at 11 a.m.
Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse

Maggiano’s Little Italy

Dine-in on the first course of salad, choose two dishes for a second course (roasted turkey with giblet gravy and focaccia sausage stuffing; baked smoked ham with whipped sweet potatoes; parmesan-crusted tilapia with sage, lemon and tomatoes); select two pastas (baked ziti, rigatoni, spaghetti and meatballs; four-cheese ravioli); two sides (creamed corn, whipped sweet potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted garlic broccoli, focaccia sausage stuffing); and dessert (pumpkin praline cheesecake, warm apple crostada, tiramisu).

In addition to its regular dinner menu, McCormick & Schmick’s will be serving a traditional turkey dinner. $32 for adults; $10 for children. Reservations are highly recommended. The plates are available to go, as well.

Open until 2:30 p.m. for dine-in and to-go service, Metro Diner offers a $15.99 dinner that includes baked ham or roasted turkey, served with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cornbread stuffing and seasonal bread pudding. Other seasonal specials include oven-roasted turkey breast atop mashed potatoes and a stuffing waffle.
Rick’s Cafe Boatyard

From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., a dinner of turkey breast with gravy; Yukon Gold mashed potatoes; green beans; sage dressing; cranberry sauce; fresh baked bread and butter; and pumpkin pie will be served. Adults $29; kids and seniors, $16.

A traditional Thanksgiving meal with roasted turkey breast, sausage and herb stuffing, and cranberry relish with a starter, side, chef-selected dessert and leftovers to take home starts at $42.95.

There’s a new seasonal menu that includes a pork porterhouse with bourbon apples ($19.99), slow-smoked meatloaf ($18.99), and a green bean casserole with a four-cheese sauce ($3.99). A slice of caramel apple cheesecake ($8.99) can top off the meal, available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In the dining room, guests will be served a traditional meal with an upscale twist, including turkey with brioche stuffing, French-cut green beans with almonds, cranberry-pear chutney and mashed potatoes, and the option to add mashed sweet potatoes and pumpkin cheesecake.
